Frequently asked questions
There are many factors involved in determining the cost to remove a tree: the tree size, location, permit requirements, proximity to targets (houses, fences, wires, etc.), access, and condition of the tree. Every situation is different, so please contact us, and we’ll schedule a visit to provide you with a free estimate.
It isn’t necessary for you to be home. For a quote, you can tell us your expectations over the phone. We’ll schedule a visit to your property and write up a detailed list of requested work and/or arborist recommendations. Each detail will be priced out separately. You do not need to be home when we proceed with the work either. We’ll carry out our previously agreed upon list of tasks and leave your property looking great!
Required permits are in place throughout the GTA to protect our trees and keep people safe. It’s important that only qualified, properly trained individuals prune or cut down a tree to avoid dangerous situations for both the worker and the tree.
Yes, absolutely! Canopy Tree Care is insured with a comprehensive liability insurance plan, and through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). This protects both your property, and all workers involved. Canopy Tree Care is also owned and operated by an ISA certified arborist.
Every job is different: a small pruning job may take as little as one or two hours, while a large removal may take one or two days. However the entire process—from the moment you contact us to our quoting preparation, work scheduling and job completion—will typically last from one to two weeks. Jobs that require special permits may last longer.
Rest assured that every job with Canopy Tree Care, no matter how big or how small, is important to us. We’ll work with you every step of the way to meet your needs and expectations.
